October, Two Months Remaining, and Answers from the Sky
Reflections in mid-October 2026: The Law of Attraction, backing from the sky, Q3 Best Performer milestone, missing home, silent words for Dad, Perunggu's Gemilang, and launching my journal at hifajar.com.

Hey… time really flew by, and here we are in the middle of October. That means 2026 only has about two months left before we close the books.
Every time we get closer to the end of the year, a little fear always creeps into my mind: double-checking goals, calling out prayers that haven’t been checked off yet, and hoping that in the time left, everything will be eased so that we can step into next year in an even better place.
Speaking of which, do you believe in the Law of Attraction or manifesting? In my personal book, the concept is simple: when you want something with all your heart, balanced with consistent prayer and serious effort, the universe starts moving to help you in ways you never would have imagined. With stubborn determination, one by one things are made easier by the universe, guided gently, heading right toward you.
Sometimes people chime in, “Why work so hard, Jar?”, “Chasing the worldly stuff non-stop”, and so on.
Hmmm, haha. Well obviously. There are still so many new places I want to visit, delicious food I haven’t tried, and big dreams waiting to be claimed. But that doesn’t mean it’s all about worldly things… The gates of heaven feel like they’ve been working overtime handling my super loud wish list since August 2026. Because of that, my effort has to match.
A target of half a kilo of gold or a new HRV might seem a bit ambitious, doesn’t it? But that’s okay, as long as you have backing from the sky, what is impossible? As long as intentions are set straight and effort doesn’t stop, good intentions will surely be eased, though of course, complete with their own seasonings of tests, haha.

Alhamdulillah, good news has also come my way. After September, when I felt the wind starting to blow in my favor, the good news hasn’t stopped in October. In this third quarter (Q3), I was chosen as Best Performer at the company where I currently work.

It is a mix of emotions. There is happiness, pride, but what dominates most is relief. But the most palpable feeling is homesickness. Everything has a beginning. And this is a first for me. Truly gratifying, genuinely. Calling mom, hearing how proud she was, I swear, that is something no number or calculator could ever measure.
In the middle of all this bustle and these small milestones, there is a space in the corner of my heart that keeps echoing. “Dad, look at me. Think back and talk to me. Did I grow up according to plan? I hope you are doing well up there, keep guiding Sukma…”
Sound of October: Perunggu - Gemilang
Talking about hard work and prayers, lately there is one song on repeat in my ears that feels so relatable to every inch of my journey this year: “Gemilang” by Perunggu.
There is a line in this song that always gives me chills every time I listen:
“Pasti doamu yang lancarkan upayaku… Dan yang kutahu kau takkan pernah berhenti. Tumbuhku kini semoga sesuai yang kau impi.” (Surely your prayers cleared my path… And what I know is that you will never stop. May who I have grown into match what you dreamed of.)
It captures the combination between being stubborn in chasing dreams by day, and surrendering to prayers to the sky by night.
In the end
Besides work, my escape is in books and writing. Watching a movie only lets us borrow the producer’s imagination, but through books I can imagine my own world. And through writing, I can draft my own script. Becoming the main character, being the one who is always chosen, and writing my own best destiny. May Allah ease every verse of that prayer, haha.
By the way, I finally found the courage to release my personal journal blog: hifajar.com/en.
Back in junior high, I really wanted to be a writer, though as I grew older and got familiar with reality, it felt impossible for a while, haha. I also once wanted to be an IT teacher, and that fire still burns today, even if it might take a different form: maybe a lecturer later? Interesting, hmm.
Given my head has a habit of oversharing and cannot bear holding too much alone, this place was born: hifajar.com/en. Because my head is too full and I have a natural knack for oversharing, haha, I need a medium to hold the noise in my mind. Aside from being a place to pour out my thoughts, this is a personal journal that helps me remember every little thing. Sometimes I jot things down in my phone notes, photos, or journal app, and once I get home I recall and try writing on this blog about things I really feel like writing about, haha.
Is it in season right now for Gen Z to write long essays on Medium? Well, this place actually serves a similar purpose, except this is truly my own home on the internet.
Beyond serving as a professional portfolio showcase, I designed this space to hold everything: work projects, life stories, prayers, all the way to random thoughts buzzing in my mind. Think of it as pouring out the dream of being a writer that I once chose to give up on, haha. Funnily enough, every time these noisy thoughts are transferred into writing, it feels like an immediate weight off my chest: keeping me sane to pursue targets instead of burning energy on overthinking.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Happy reading, and let’s finish off these last two months of 2026 with our absolute best effort!
