On the day of my 27th birthday, I chose to treat myself to a quality solo date.
So I decided to head straight to Mie Tarik Sultan (Well actually that was a full day activity, check out my post about 27, So Far here).
Honestly, I wasn’t looking for fine dining or anything fancy. I just wanted a piping hot bowl of comforting noodles where I didn’t have to worry about maintaining appearances in front of anyone.
Today’s Menu Selection
My choice fell on the Chicken Ramen served in hot broth.
From the very first bite, the texture of the hand-pulled noodles hit the spot: chewy, smooth, and hearty without feeling overly heavy. Combined with the hot savory chicken broth, this bowl felt warm and deeply comforting—exactly matching my expectations for this birthday meal.

Now comes the best and slightly ‘dangerous’ perk: you can refill your noodles and soup as much as you want.
Without hesitation, I naturally took full advantage of those refills!
Make sure your stomach is hungry when you arrive. The free noodle and soup refill policy will easily turn your single sweet bowl into a full-on feast! When else, right, an all-you-can-eat style mie ayam wkwkw!
Great Menu Variety
The menu here is quite varied, so it’s not a monotonous shop with just a single option. There are various noodle types and toppings you can customize depending on your taste or stomach mood for the day.
But for me personally, the chicken ramen in hot broth holds the champion title.
Reflections on a Solo Birthday Date
Giving myself time for a solo date turned out to be really pleasant. Freedom to pick whatever food you want, eating at your own pace without feeling rushed, and enjoying your birthday without overthinking things.
