Jokopi Malaysia at Masjid Jamek: A Cool Spot to Hang Out in KL
An afternoon hangout at Jokopi Malaysia near Masjid Jamek. From grabbing camping chairs ourselves to trying the Kaya Susu Krim and an honest review of its pricing and vibe.

Restaurant Info
135, Jalan Tun H S Lee, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur
On the afternoon of February 2nd, 2026, a friend and I decided to catch some fresh air and hang out around central KL. We decided to stop by Jokopi Malaysia, located on Jalan Tun H S Lee, not far from the LRT Masjid Jamek station.

I personally stopped by during the afternoon when the weather was cool and pleasant for chatting. But if you are curious about the evening vibe—when the aesthetic lights turn on and the crowd gets super lively—definitely check out TikTok! There are tons of night hangout videos at this outlet.
Entrance & Ordering Area
As soon as we crossed the street, we were greeted by the clean, minimal storefront of Jokopi.

Stepping inside, you head straight to the counter area, where orders are placed via the POS cashier terminal.

Menu Options Available
The menu offers a good variety of drinks ranging from signature iced coffee, non-coffee series, to light snacks.

A Place People Love to Hang Out
One interesting thing that really captures the Indonesian hangout culture here: when we want to sit outside, we are asked to grab our own camping folding chair!

This self-service folding chair concept gives off a super relaxed, youthful vibe. Just pick up a chair, find a nice spot outdoors, and you are ready to hang out.
My Order: Kaya Susu Krim (Small) & Long Live JOKOPI!!!
That afternoon, I ordered the Kaya Susu Krim (Small).

Flavor-wise, the blend of kaya flavor and sweet cream mixed with milk coffee was rich and delicious on the palate. Perfect for a casual afternoon chat with my friend while watching the city traffic flow by.

Honest Review: Pricey But Still Fun
Here is my honest takeaway regarding pricing and facilities:
- Price Range (RM 10 - RM 30): Honestly, in my opinion, it feels fairly pricey for what is provided. I feel there is room for improvement regarding facilities and products.
- Value Comparison: At RM 10 - RM 30, there are plenty of other spots in KL that offer more comprehensive facilities—like comfortable cushioned chairs, cool air conditioning, and sufficient power outlets.
- Usage Recommendation:
- For Working / Laptop Work: Not recommended. Power outlets are limited and the seating style isn’t built for long working sessions.
- For Casual Hangouts: A great choice! Jokopi wins on its strategic location (near the main road) and its trendy street scene culture that makes it really fun for catching up.
What do you think? Do you prefer casual hangouts with camping chairs like this or places with laptop plugs for working? Let me know in the comments!
